Privacy policy
How Smart Home Finds Deals collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects information, including information used by its TikTok publishing feature.
Who operates this service
Smart Home Finds Deals operates this website and its related TikTok publishing feature. Privacy questions and requests may be sent to [email protected].
This policy is effective September 22, 2026. It applies to deals.mmds.dev, including the creator-facing TikTok connection and publishing pages.
Information collected from website visitors
The site and its hosting and security providers may process standard request and security data, including IP address, browser and device details, referrer, requested page, response status, and timestamps.
The site records page views and link interactions using randomly generated visitor and session identifiers stored in local or session storage. It may also record referral, language, and campaign parameters. The site does not intentionally use this analytics data to identify a visitor by name.
Information used for TikTok features
When a user chooses to connect TikTok, TikTok provides authorization credentials and account information needed to identify the connected account and use the permissions approved by the user. These may include an access token, refresh token, open identifier, creator username, available privacy options, interaction capabilities, and posting limits.
When a user prepares a post, the service processes the selected MP4 video, editable caption, privacy selection, comment, Duet and Stitch selections, commercial-content declarations, AI-generated-content selection, consent confirmation, TikTok publish identifier, and publication status.
The service uses a signed, secure, HTTP-only session cookie to keep the TikTok authorization and the selected upload associated with the correct browser session. It does not request a TikTok password.
How information is used and legal grounds
Information is used to operate and secure the website, measure anonymous traffic and outbound-link performance, authenticate a user with TikTok, show the connected creator and available posting choices, transfer user-selected content to TikTok, report publication status, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and comply with legal obligations.
Where applicable, processing is based on the user’s request to provide the service, the user’s consent for optional TikTok authorization and publication, legitimate interests in security and service improvement, and compliance with law. Consent may be withdrawn by disconnecting the app in TikTok and contacting us.
Sharing and service providers
TikTok account information and creator-selected content are sent to TikTok only after the user authorizes the requested permissions and expressly starts publication. TikTok processes that information under its own terms and privacy policy.
Hosting, content-delivery, security, and analytics infrastructure providers may process limited technical data on our behalf. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal information.
Purchase, Telegram, Facebook, and other external links lead to independent services with their own privacy practices.
Retention and deletion
TikTok authorization data and uploaded MP4 files used by the creator-facing publishing feature are held temporarily for the active session. The session is designed to expire after two hours; expired files and in-memory session data are removed when session cleanup next runs or when the service restarts.
Web server and security logs are normally rotated daily and retained for up to 14 rotations unless a longer period is reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, preserve security, resolve a dispute, or meet a legal obligation. Aggregated or de-identified analytics may be retained for service measurement.
A user may request deletion of information associated with the service by emailing [email protected]. Revoking access in TikTok prevents future access but does not itself delete content already published to TikTok; published content can be managed through TikTok.
Choices and privacy rights
Users may decline TikTok authorization, stop before publishing, clear browser storage, revoke the app through TikTok account settings, and request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a portable copy where applicable. Requests should be sent to [email protected] and may require reasonable identity verification.
Users may also complain to the data-protection authority available to them. Some rights depend on location and applicable law, and lawful security or recordkeeping exceptions may apply.
International processing and security
Service providers, TikTok, and users may operate in different countries. Information may therefore be processed outside the user’s country under applicable transfer mechanisms and contractual or legal safeguards.
Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used, including HTTPS, secure and HTTP-only session cookies, signed session identifiers, restricted file permissions, limited session duration, and server-side storage of TikTok credentials. No transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Children and policy changes
The service is not directed to children below the minimum age required to use TikTok or enter a binding agreement in their location. We do not knowingly collect personal information from such children through the TikTok publishing feature.
This policy may be updated when the service, providers, or legal requirements change. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date. Questions or requests may be sent to [email protected].
